    COMPARISON OF DETECTION METHOD OF THE CARBIDE NETWORK IN HIGH CARBON HYPEREUTECTOID STEEL WIRE RODS

    • In order to detect the carbide network in high carbon hypereutectoid steel wire rods accurately,two kinds of detection method of the carbide network are compared. There are corrosion by nitric-acid alcohol solution and hot corrosion by the aqueous solution with alkaline sodium picrate. It is concluded that hot corrosion by the aqueous solution with alkaline sodium picrate is the best method to show the carbide network in high carbon hypereutectoid steel wire rods,because this method can show the most clear-cut carbide network.
