FRACTURE ANALYSIS OF THE PLUNGER IN THE PLASTIC INJECTION MOULD
The plunger used in the plastic injection was failure only after one year service. The failure of the plunger is analyzed in this paper. After a comprehensive study on composition, microstructure, fractures and crack, the results showed that the misuse of the materials of the guiding axle led to the fatigue failure. This kind failure was muti-fatigue fracture.
