Abstract
Transformation of austenite and morphology of its product in the continuous cooling process of Q460C steel were investigated in order to provide references for industrial production. From the continuous cooling transformation curve (CCT curve) and the morphology at different cooling rate which indicated that massive morphology of ferrite and pearlite could be easily formed when the cooling rate was relatively low, the bainite, whose formation temperature was about 450-600 ℃, appeared when the cooling rate was greater than 3 ℃/s, and it existed in the pattern of acicular ferrite. The martensitic transformation point was about 350 ℃, when the cooling rate was greater than 15 ℃/s.
