Abstract

The knuckle component was ruptured in a assembly,the part was analyzed by Macro-appearance,hardness testing,microstructure examination,testing,chemical composition analysis and reappearance test,Inoculation fragments were found inside the mould. These fragments that didn't completely dissolve in iron melt due to float caused local silicon gather. That is the reason of the part broken.
