Retained Austenite Content of Steel Sheet Determined by X-ray Stress Instrument Side Tipping Method

    • The retained austenite content of a steel sheet was measured by X-ray stress instrument with different side tipping angles. The results show that there were big differences among single test result at different surface condition, test directions and side tipping angles, so single test result could not be regarded as the final result. The sample surface condition had no obvious effect on the retained austenite content test results when the samples was tested with different side tipping angle and taken the average value. The union and consistence average value of retained austenite content could be obtain by means of multi-test directions, big diameter XRD pipe, and several side-tipping angles, and by which the influence of measurement condition would be deduced at a large scale to get a satisfied result.
