Influencing Factors of Resistivity Measurement for Thermoelectric Materials

    • In order to improve the accuracy of measurement for resistivity, a systematic research was made for some typical thermoelectric materials, including constantan, Ca3Co4O9, PbSe, Bi2Te3 and CoSb3. The impact of contact resistance, additional Seebeck voltage, and the measuring of thermocouples distance on the measurement of resistivity were investigated. The results showed that the impact of contact resistance on the measurement of electrical resistivity could be eliminated by two probe method; the impact of additional Seebeck voltage could be eliminated by the average measurement results of twice measurement with changing current direction; and the impact of thermocouples distance measuring on the measurement of electrical resistivity was obvious.
