    Selection of Rate Control Methods and Clamp Systems for Metallic Materials Tensile Test at Room Temperature

    • The reason of method A of GB/T 228.1-2010 being recommended to use prior was explained. Two strain control results were compared, and one was obtained with a hydraumatic flat clamp system made in Germany and the other was obtained with wedge-shaped clamp system made in NCS Testing Technology Co., Ltd., of China. The results show that both of them could control the strain rate in a permitted range. However, using wedge-shaped clamp system, both the manufacture and the consuming cost could be greatly economized.
