    FAILURE ANALYSIS OF CLUTCH FORK

    • Clutch fork cracked within its service. The crack was investigated by inspections using scan microscope and the composition analysis by using chemical and the EDS methods. The results showed that the clutch fork rupture was fatigue rupture. Reasons of forming first cracks were foundry lacuna,impurity gathering,lard exiting. The fatigue crack extended under the applied stress and led to clutch fork crack and failure.
