    Reason Analysis on Unusual Fracture at the End of Tensile Specimen

    • It was sometimes unavoidable that a specimen of metallic material fractured at the end during a tensile test, and the elongation of specimen was influenced by this. The phenomenon of fracturing at the end of a tensile specimen was analyzed, and the potential influence factors were found including material, form, determination and mark factor etc. The measure was established during the procedure of the determination selection, machining and testing of the specimen in the terms of factors. A certain degree should be controlled with the tensile specimen fractured at the end, and it could be referenced for the reduction even avoiding the fracturing at the end of the tensile specimen.
