    THE FRACTURE FAILURE ANALYSIS OF THE ALUMINIUMMOTOR WHEEL

    • The fracture of the aluminium motor wheel was investigated by means of chemical composition analysis, microstructure examination and hardness testing. The results showed that the content of iron is high, the existence of loosen area, much of hole and the appearance of abnormal phase reduced the mechanical properties. Above factors caused the brittle fracture of aluminium motor wheel.
