    Performance of Liquid-core Optical Fiber Based on Light-curing

    • The performances of the liquid-core optical fiber (LCOF) and its core liquid as well as the repairing effect and principle of the cracks of the LCOF were researched in experiments. The experimental results showed that the LCOF had large numerical aperture,good light transmission performance;the core liquid was of fast light-curing and good adhesive capacity,and it can repair the cracks of the optical fiber. Therefore,the new-style LCOF can be not only used as optical transmission components but also used in self-diagnosis and self-repair system of optical fiber intelligent composite material.
