Effect of Injection Parameters on the Moulding of Injected Plastics Tensile Samples

    • Taking co-POM as example, melt flow behavior in the mould was simulated by Moldflow software, and the effect of injection parameters including melt temperature, mould temperature, injection pressure, holdup pressure, injection time and holdup time on the moulding of the injected tensile samples was studied. It was validated that the effect of injection pressure was as same as the simulation results. The results show that each injection parameter is too high or too low maybe affect the quality and mechanical property of the injected samples. If it needs to determine the injection parameters, it must give a synthetic consideration on the facility, property parameters of the material, productivity, the economic condition, and so on. Cases considered only from a single point of view must be avoided because it would affect the overall performance of the moulding samples.
