    Failure Analysis of Ball Bearing Used in Combustion Turbine

    • A certain type of marine main power system ball bearings ball fracture was analyzed on the ball made chemical composition,hardness and microstructure analysis,analysis of the material properties ball was not in line with orders technical conditions require. Ball fracture analysis showed that the fracture was brittle fracture;high hardness of the ball and its inclusions resulted in its gap sensitivity,which was the main reason for ball brittle fracture.
