The abnormal breakage of samples in tensile experiments was explored. The tensile experiments were simulated with Deform-3D. Stress distributions and damaged points were analysed when various geometric parameters were applied with assembling error of fixture occuring. The result can be used to design geometric parameters of material samples and to optimize fixtures.
