DELAYED FRACTURE ANALYSIS OF CONTINUOUS CASTING SLAB
Continuous casting slab fractured spontaneously in the depository. The facture failure of the slab was analyzed by means of metallographic microscope,SEM and EDS. The results showed that enriched shrinkage cavities and solidification contraction cracks were the main causes of the slab stationary fracture.
