Residual Stress Distribution of AISI403 Steel Power Station Turbine Blades after Shot Peening Treatment

    • AISI403 steel power station turbine blades were treated by shot peening, and the surface residual stress distribution uniformity and residual stress distribution along depth of the blades were investigated by X-ray diffraction method. The results show that after 0.23 Amm shot peening intensity treatment, the residual stress was distributed equally on surface of the blades, and the stress distribution standard deviation was 15.4 MPa. Meanwhile, with the increase of depth from the blade surface, the residual stress of the blades increased firstly and then decreased, with the top surface residual stress of -635.8 MPa and the maximum residual stress of -795.8 MPa at the depth of 25 μm.
