    Fracture Analysis on Bolt of 35CrMo Steel

    • By means of macroscopic examination, fracture analysis, metallographic examination, microhardness testing and so on, the fracture reason of the bolt of 35CrMo steel was analyzed. The results showed that the heat treatment cracks and foldings on the root of thread became the fatigue sources, then under the dynamic load, the fatigue sources gradually extended and eventually led to fatigue fracture.
