    Cases Analysis on Titanium Alloy Metallurgical Defects

    • Some titanium alloy metallurgical defects cases encountered in engineering practice were analyzed,and corresponding prevention measures were proposed.The case analysis results show that the titanium alloymetallurgical defects mainly included hard α defects,inclusions,segregation,holes and so on. All thesemetallurgical defects,were mainly formed and remained during vacuum consumable smelting process,and they couldbe controlled or avoided by improving the raw material quality and melting process.
