  • The influence of system compliance on metallic material tensile testing results at room temperature was discussed. Combining with the understanding of system compliance, the usage condition of different types of grips according to ISO 6892-1:2009 was analyzed, and a proposal that the Instron’s grip system was in accordance with the strain control requirement of ISO 6892-1:2009 was given. Finally, the feature of Instron’s adaptive control algorithms was introduced.
