Abstract
Taking cord steel and free cutting steel as research objects, explored the effects of image acquisition parameters, grayscale and threshold settings, and protection zone settings parameters on the statistical results of inclusions in steel when using a fully automatic inclusion analysis system for automatic statistical analysis of inclusions in steel. The results show that the required pixel size could be calculated by minimizing the probability of identifying the inclusion size, and then selected the appropriate magnification and resolution. The grayscale and threshold settings must match. When using reference Al, accurate statistical results could be obtained when the grayscale difference ratio was about 3.7. When the size of inclusions in the sample was small, no protective zone could be set up. When the size of inclusions was large, a protective zone needed to be set up.
