Hardness method for measuring the adhesion of aluminum alloy anodized film

    • The facial mask structure of aluminum alloy anodic oxide film was special, and there was no suitable quantitative method to characterize its adhesion at present. Using a Vickers hardness tester to matrix dot the anodic oxide film, controlling the spacing between indentations, and utilizing the squeezing effect between indentations to cause the oxide film to peel off. Quantitatively evaluated the adhesion level of the anodic oxide film based on the detachment of the oxide film at the indentation interface. Meanwhile, a classification method for evaluating the adhesion level of aluminum alloy anodized coatings had been developed, dividing the adhesion level of aluminum alloy anodized coatings into 0-5 levels.
