Abstract
The effects of different forming thicknesses on the microstructure and properties of austenitic stainless steel heads were studied by means of ultrasonic thickness measurement, ferrite number measurement, metallographic examination and hardness test. The results show that after the forming of the 8. 0 mm thick head, the wall thickness reduction or thickening, martensite phase variable and hardness variation in each region from the center to the straight edge were relatively small, and the overall structure and performance were the best.
