    Cracking reason of steel tube tower cylinder of a transmission line

    • The cracking reason of steel tube tower cylinder of a transmission line was analyzed by means of macroscopic observation, chemical composition analysis, mechanical property test, metallographic examination, scanning electron microscope and energy spectrum analysis. The results show that the chemical composition of the cylinder material did not meet the standard requirements.The abnormal microstructure of the cylinder material was the main reason for the cracking of the cylinder.
