    Standard analysis of ferrite content in austenitic stainless steel by metallographic method

    • In order to better understand and determine the requirements for the determination of ferrite content in austenitic stainless steel, the formation of δ ferrite and α ferrite in austenitic stainless steel and its influence on mechanical properties were briefly introduced. The content of the standard for the determination of ferrite content in austenitic steel in Russia was summarized. The development history of the standard GB/T 13305—2008 for the determination of ferrite content in austenitic stainless steel by metallographic method was sorted out, and some problems of the standard were analyzed. Finally, some suggestions for modifying the problems in the standard GB/T 13305—2008 were put forward.
