Abstract
Quenching crack caused by common metallurgical defects in three kinds of forged steel parts containing indigenous inclusion, surface slag and banded segregation was described comprehensively and deeply. The product manufacturing process, crack morphology and microstructure were analyzed. The results show that the factors affecting quenching crack were quenching stress, stress concentration, metallurgical defects, etc., especially the distribution position of inclusion defects was closely related.
