Abstract
The effects of natural aging on the mechanical properties of PSB830 high strength finish-rolled reinforced bars were studied by means of mechanical property testing, macroscopic observation, scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrum analysis. The results show that after natural aging, the yield strength of the reinforced bars first decreased and then increased to near the initial results, while the tensile strength first increased and then tended to stabilize. The elongation after fracture had a significant increase. The reason for the low elongation after fracture was that the hydrogen accumulated near the inclusion. During the aging process, under the combined effect of internal stress release, precipitation phase and slow release of hydrogen, the aggregation degree of hydrogen decreased, resulting in a significant increase in the elongation after fracture of the steel bar.
