Abstract
The tensile tests of H68 brass coil and BFe10-1-1 white copper coil at room temperature were carried out by flattening at both ends of the sample and straightening the sample with manual and straightening machine, and the test results were analyzed. The results show that the tensile test at room temperature could be effectively carried out for the metal coil with wall thickness not less than 1 mm and elongation after fracture not less than 60% after the end of the sample was flattened. For metal coils with wall thickness less than 1 mm and elongation after fracture less than 40%, the positive flattening method could improve the test success rate. When the sample was allowed to be straightened, or the yield strength was not required, it was easier to straighten the sample as a whole.
