05Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve adhesion reasons

    • A 05Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve were bonded during the test. The reasons for the adhesion of the shaft and shaft sleeve were analyzed by means of macroscopic observation, chemical composition analysis, metallographic examination, scanning electron microscope analysis and hardness test. The results show that the stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve were not coated with grease by the operator during assembly. The clearance between the shaft and the shaft sleeve was small, in the process of vibration and rotation test, there was a phenomenon of partial load between the shaft and the shaft sleeve, fretting wear occured at the contact site, the oxide film was broken, direct contact between metals, resulting in shaft and shaft sleeve adhesion.
