    Corrosion method for macrostructure examination of superalloys

    • Macrostructure inspection of superalloys played a very important role in the determination of smelting, cold and hot processing and heat treatment process parameters, the judgment of equipment production and operation status, and the control and improvement of product quality. The pickling method, common pickling solution types and inspection standards commonly used in production inspection of superalloy macrostructure were described. The macrostructure defects encountered in actual inspection were listed. The problems and key points in the inspection of superalloy macrostructure were described in combination with the factors such as sample roughness, pickling solution composition and concentration, pickling temperature and corrosion time. It was expected to provide guidance for macrostructure inspection of superalloys.
