Cause of warping defects of steel plate surface

By means of macroscopic observation, chemical composition analysis, metallographic examination and energy spectrum analysis, combined with the production process of steel plate, the causes of warping defects on the surface of steel plate were analyzed. The results show that during the high temperature stage of hot rolling, the coarse roll cracks were generated, and in the subsequent rolling process, the cracks continued to expand, and finally the warping defects were formed on the surface of the steel plate.
