Abstract
The morphology of the end cover of a launch tube was abnormal during the opening performance test. The reasons for the abnormal morphology of the end cover were analyzed by means of X-ray examination and simulation analysis. The results show that the metal reinforced materials in end cover offset to the stress groove, and the improper selection of test method led to the abnormal morphology of the end cover in the cover opening performance test. X-ray could find the cover of the metal reinforced materials offset to the stress groove, and the dynamic cover opening test method could also avoid the abnormal morphology of the end cover during the test.
