Fracture reason of YL82B hot rolled wire rod for prestressed steel wire

A batch of hot rolled wire rod for YL82 B prestressed steel wire fractured during drawing. Macroscopic observation and micro analysis were carried out on different fracture surfaces. The results show that the main reason for wire rod fracture was the surface defects and abnormal microstructure of the product. Finally, suggestions for improving the quality of wire rod were put forward.
