Abstract
The 304 and 316 L stainless steels prepared by laser melting technology were analyzed by metallographic examination and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the axial structure of the material had heat transfer between different layers during the deposition process of additive manufacturing, and the microstructure uniformity was affected. There was no obvious deviation in the regional composition of the material, and there was no component segregation and secondary phase precipitation. The gravity of the melt would make the material anisotropy in the longitudinal direction.
