Fracture reason of titanium alloy rod end body

    • The fatigue test of titanium alloy rod end self-lubricating joint bearing was carried out. After the 1 160 000 cyclic tension and compression, the earring of the rod end body fractured. The chemical composition, macroscopic and microscopic morphology of the failed parts were comprehensively analyzed. The results show that the failure mode of the rod end body was fatigue fracture, and fretting wear occured between the earring of the rod end body and the outer ring of the bearing. Under cyclic loading, the crack at the weak position of the inner hole of the rod end expanded, and finally breaked.
