Abstract
Aiming at the problem of the transverse impact energy of hot working die steel H13 module did not meet the design requirements, the samples were analyzed by scanning electron microscope and microscope observation. The results show that the fracture source area of the impact sample was characterized by intergranular fracture. The annealing state microstructure was spherical pearlite, and the spherical carbides were distributed in chains locally. Under heat treatment, the carbides were distributed in a network locally. The network carbide was the main reason that the impact energy of H13 module did not meet the design requirements. The impact performance of H13 module can be improved by improving the forging process.
