Abstract
The thermoplastic/thermosetting mixed polyphenylene ether resin system (PPO/PPE) and its composite laminates were prepared by using thermosetting polyphenylene ether resin (PPE) as matrix and adding thermoplastic polyphenylene ether resin (PPO) to blending modification. The mechanical and dielectric properties of the laminates were tested. The results show that the mechanical properties first became better and then became worse with the increase of PPO addition amount. When the addition amount reached 20%, the copper foil stripping force of the laminate reached the maximum, which increased by 24%. When the addition amount reached 30% (mass fraction, the same below), the bending strength of the medium increased by 56%. With the increase of the addition amount of PPO, the dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor of the medium increased continuously. When the addition amount of PPO reached 40%, the dielectric constant was 3. 68, the dielectric loss was 4. 77, and the glass transition temperature reduced to 167 ℃, with a maximum reduction of about 19%.
