Abstract
The requirements of GB/T 34505-2017, GB/T 228. 1-2010 and GB/T 4909.3-2009 and other copper and copper product tensile test standards were compared in terms of scope, sample, test method and other relevant provisions. The influence of different factors on the tensile test results was discussed, which was helpful for the testers to accurately interpret and apply relevant standards. Recommendations for modification of GB/T 228. 1-2010 in terms of the minimum length of the original gauge length of the proportional sample and the parallel length of the non-proportional sample are proposed. Recommendations for modification of GB/T 34505-2017 in terms of sample grinding requirements, maximum parallel length, and the parallel part of the sample can be reduced to the central part are proposed. It was recommended that different tensile standards use the same quantitative test parameters for the same production process and brand of copper products, so as to improved the reproducibility and comparability of the test results.
