Abstract
The 30CrMnSiA steel sample with preset size defect was remanufactured by manual laser surfacing technology, and its tensile, impact and rotary bending fatigue tests were carried out. The results show that the impact and tensile properties of laser remanufactured samples were basically the same as those of the original material samples, but the fatigue life of the laser remanufactured samples was only about 20% of that the original material samples. The fracture analysis shows that the fatigue crack sources were all produced in the hardfacing layer, and the quantity increase with the increase of stress level.
