A Method to Calculate the Stiffness of Electronic Tensile Testing Machine

Abstract
Through analyzing the changes of whole and parts of the electronic tensile testing machine under stress, a simple method for calculating the stiffness of testing machine was summarized, and stiffness calculation of Zwick Z400 and Zwick Z250 tensile testing machine were carried out. The results show that through stiffness integration analysis of each part of the testing machine, product of elastic modulus and sectional area of leading screw and stiffness of the rest parts of testing machine can be obtained to calculate the total stiffness of testing machine when the crossbeam was in different positions.
