Testing Methods of Pore Structure for Porous Tungsten

    • Porous tungsten materials with different porosity were prepared by moulding and sintering of three kinds of tungsten powders with different particle sizes. The pore structure characteristics of porous tungsten were measured by drainage method, mercury intrusion method and scanning electron microscope analysis. The results show that the pore structure parameters of porous tungsten, such as total porosity, open porosity, pore size distribution and closed porosity, can be obtained by the combination of drainage method and mercury intrusion method. Combined with scanning electron microscope analysis, the porous tungsten porous structure can be comprehensively evaluated.
