    Uncorrelated Indication Discrimination of Magnetic Particle Detection Caused by Bearing Parts Material and Microstructure

    • The formation principle and the types of uncorrelated indication were summarized. The failure analysis verification steps of uncorrelated indication were also described. The discrimination of uncorrelated indications caused by carbide banded structure and residual austenite structure was illustrated with examples. The results show that the uncorrelated indication caused by material and microstructure was difficult to distinguish, which need further verification by metallographic analysis. The analysis verification steps of uncorrelated indication vary slightly according to the specific conditions of the workpieces.
