Abstract
The four authoritative aluminum coating test standard documents analyzed comparatively, they are the American Aerospace Society's NAS 4006:2014, Hi Shear's Hi-Shear 294:2008, Boeing's BMS 10-85R:2004, the European Aerospace and Defense Industry Association's DS/EN 4473:2010. The results show that NAS 4006:2014 and DS/EN 4473:2010 are suitable for a wide range of applications. Hi-Shear 294:2008 and BMS 10-85R:2004 have clarified and refined the types of aluminium coatings, and have a strong pertinence. The four standards focus on different items, such as BMS 10-85R:2004, which eraluates the brittleness and installation force of aluminium coatings very carefully, and Hi-Shear 294:2008, which requires the most stringent corrosion resistance of aluminium coatings. BMS 10-85R:2004 fully considers the differences of testing items and methods of different types of aluminum coatings in aircraft fastener system. DS/EN 4473:2010 has classified aluminum coatings from the composition level, but it does not cooperate with different testing methods according to the differences of coating working conditions.
