    Cause Analysis on Failure of Casing Tube at YD705 Well

    • Casing tube failed in YD705 well during drilling cement plug process. The causes of failure of casing tube were analyzed based on logging data and drilling plug phenomenon. The results show that the power clamp was used for high-speed buckle to make the casing tube glued or buckled during drilling process. The coupling was subjected to abnormal circumferential tensile stress, and the casing tube was pulled over in here. Finally, the casing tube failed.
