Application Analysis on Room Temperature Tensile Test Standard of GB/T 228.1-2010

The changes of tensile specimens, testing machines and their performance control requirements were compared between the room temperature tensile test standard of GB/T 228.1-2010 and its previous version GB/T 228-2002. Some changes of regulations and requirements of the new version standard on the tensile strength and yield strength, as well as the matters needing attention in engineering application were analyzed in detail. A distinction was made between extension and elongation, and some concepts in the new and old standards were compared.
