    Deformation Analysis of LY12 Aluminum Alloy Based on Digital Image Technology

    • Based on VIC-3D digital image technology, finite element simulation and universal electronic testing machine, the stress evolution analysis and fracture analysis of non-porous and porous materials of LY12 aluminum alloy were carried out. The results show that:the strain distribution obtained by VIC-3D system was similar with that obtained by finite element method, but the numerical results obtained by finite element method were comparably smaller; with the increase of stress, the cracks extended in a direction perpendicular to the tensile stress direction; when the strain and strain rate were the largest, the specimens fractured; the fracture of specimens was almost dimple fracture, which indicated the material had good toughness.
