    Design and Application of Tensile Testing Device Used for Contact Assemblies in Earthing Switches

    • Considering the structure and surface treatment process of the contact assemblies in earthing switches which were key parts of a company, a tensile testing device suitable for the contact assemblies was designed and developed by updating and upgrading the SANS CMT5205 microcomputer controlled universal testing machine. The results show that the tensile testing device met the requirements of bonding property test of the contact assemblies and could be applied to the pre-development test of the contact assemblies to obtain the ultimate bonding strength data. And the device was also widely used in the later routine mechanical performance test of contact assemblies. The tensile testing device met the requirements of tensile test assessment and quality evaluation of the contact assemblies, and extended the use function of the testing device.
