    Analysis on Common Failure Modes of High-Pressure Fuel Injection Pipes in Automobile Engines

    • Combined with some typical engineering failure cases, the common failure modes of high-pressure fuel injection pipes of automobile engines were introduced, the possible causes of various failure modes were analyzed, and some corresponding improvement measures were put forward. The results show that the failure mode of the high-pressure fuel injection pipes was mainly high cycle fatigue cracking which resulted in perforation and fuel leakage. Any improper operation in the processes including quality control of raw materials, manufacture, assembly and use, all might cause fatigue cracking failure.
