Application of Statistical Hypothesis Testing in Quality Control on Tensile Testing of Metallic Materials at Room Temperature

    • Factors affecting tensile test results of metallic materials at room temperature were briefly analyzed. The role of quality control in physical and chemical inspection was described, and the common methods on quality control and the data analysis methods on statistical hypothesis test were introduced. Through the application examples, the quality control of the determination of outlier data, equal precision measurement and data consistency on tensile testing of metallic materials at room temperature was analyzed in detail, based on Grubbs test, F-test and T-test. The results show that the tensile test method and process of metallic materials at room temperature are within the scope of effective control, and the test results are accurate and reliable, and can meet the requirements of daily inspection.
