    Cause Analysis on Cracking of a 37Mn Steel Gas Cylinder

    • Water leakage phenomenon occurred to a 37Mn steel cylinder during hydraulic pressure test, and after inspection it was found that the gas cylinder cracked. Through macro analysis, chemical composition analysis and micro analysis of the cracked gas cylinder, the cracking reason was analyzed. The results show that the tearing cracking of the gas cylinder was mainly due to the outer folding defect of the raw material steel pipe.
