Analysis on Cracking Reasons during Bending of Q195 Steel Wire Rods

    • Q195 steel hot-rolled wire rods cracked during bending after drawing from φ6.5 mm to φ5.0 mm. The reasons of cracking during bending of steel wire rods were analyzed by means of macroscopic observation, chemical composition analysis, metallographic examination, scanning electron microscope and energy spectrum analysis. The results show that: severe mixed crystal structure led to the formation of cracks under the action of bending force; cracks extended along the inclusions, and finally caused the cracking during bending of the steel wire rods.
